I used this for a design for a t-shirt. We had to make a design for a t-shirt that represents the warriors and TNT. I thought of using a helmet and my teacher, Mrs. Randell thought of using the banner with the writing on the side.

Gestalts last principle is known as figure and ground. S form or shape is usually known as figure while the surrounding are is known as ground. If you just look at this picture you could see a skull's head with the two eyes. If you look at it cllosely, you would see a girl looking in the mirror seeing her reflection. You can also see that she is sitting at her dressor and that there is a candle in the middle that makes it look like the school had a nose.

Another Gestalt principle is proximity. Proximity occurs when elements are placed close together. They tend to be considered a group. If you really look closely at this picture, you can notice that every black shape is a person. Then if you look at the figures as a group, you can see that it looks like a tree.

Another Gestalt theory is closure. It occurs when an object is incomplete or a space is not completly enclosed. If most of the shapes is shown, people can usually fill out the missing information. In this picture, you can make out a triangle even though the sides of it aren't shown. You can also make out the three circles where a part of each was not shown.

This is a great example of the second principle, continuation. The blue line is directing you to the man that is standing in the middle of the photo which is what continuation is. Continuation occurs when your eyes move through the object so you are looking at another object. You can't see the man clearly but when you reach the end of the arrow, you can make out the form of a man.

This picture is a great example of one of Gestalts principals. It represents similarity, which you can see that all the shapes here look similar. These shapes are all grouped together so you look at it as if it all belongs together which makes a sun. I like this picture on how simple it is and how you can understand what similarity means.

Graphic design is used for anything and can look like anything. I love in this design how there is so many different shapes and objects that you just can't look in one place. You see people, a brain, bubbles and lots of wavy lines. Some people can say this is a good design but others might not like it cause of the colors or the shapes. To some people they may think this is a bad design. I love how there are bubbles coming from the botttom of the brain and are forming underneath it like the bubbles are making it up.
